Peter James (Peter Kelly) is a Toronto-based DJ, dancer, producer, and cultural worker whose work lives at the intersection of house music, movement, and club culture. Rooted in house dance and informed by hustle, waacking, jazz, and tap, alongside nearly a decade as a company dancer with Toronto Dance Theatre, his artistic voice has been shaped as much by the stage as by countless nights immersed in clubs, cyphers, and social dance floors. Throughout his career, he has shared the stage with artists including David Morales, The Shapeshifters, Horse Meat Disco, Tanzer, La Santa, Madam Lola, Jellyfish, Maya Margarita, and The Patchouli Brothers, experiences that continue to inform his instinct for energy, rhythm, musicality, and connection behind the decks. Rooted in vocal, soulful, deep, Afro, gospel, and disco house, his sets are built for bodies in motion, creating spaces where music, movement, and people come together.
